Liverpool boasts many fine restaurants offering first-class cuisine from around the world. Most can be found in the city centre and are usually reasonably priced. The lively Albert Dock area includes a number of popular restaurants, cafés and wine bars with good views of the waterfront, while some excellent Chinese food can be found in Liverpool's Chinatown, around Berry street.

Lively pubs that often serve food and provide live entertainment can be found throughout Liverpool. The city also boasts a number of popular cafés, bakeries and other options for eating and drinking.

As with all areas in the UK, pubs must close by 11pm, which usually brings the evening to an abrupt end, unless you are prepared to spend a full night in one of the late night clubs. The closing times are however under review.
